CMLE Play - What's this all about?

I love May songs - always have. So I thought that during this time when many people are confined to their homes it would be good if we could share some of these wonderful songs and cheer each other up.

So, what is a May song? I don't have a definition, but if it begins "As I walked out one morning in May" or it mentions lambs a-springing, birds a-singing, dancing round maypoles, Morris dancers, fertility rites...then it's probably a May song. It might be traditional. It might be written by Pink Floyd, the Bee Gees or it could be one that you have just come up with. Let's have some fun with this!

My aim is to publish one song per day in May - both on this blog page and in the Facebook group. You can either send your mp3s to me or let me have a link to where you have them posted (i.e Reverb, Soundcloud, Youtube, etc). If you have lyrics and/or stories about the song that would be great too.
